WHY BRAIN ?

Till now I talked about the complexity of the brain, about major researches going on with the human brain bla bla bla. But listen, why we should study human brain at the first place ? What is the importance of knowing this 3 pound matter ? What we can learn by studying the organisation and function of the brain ?

Let me put it this way, deciphering the Brain is the greatest intellectual quest of all time. Now you can argue on behalf of cosmology but trust me unravelling the secrets of the brain is the most daunting task humans are performing right now. The mind which is encapsulated in the the brain is who we are, thats our identity. THE ORGANISATION OF THE BRAIN REVEALS THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE MIND.

Functions of different parts of the human brain

By studying the brain we can know ourselves. There are many other fine organs in our body but the brain is special. Let me put it this way, heart is also an important organ obviously because we would die without it, right. But if we have a heart damage we can transplant it or if we have a kidney damage we can transplant it but if there is a brain damage there are no remedies. We cannot transplant a brain with another one. Its like interchanging mind with another person which means interchanging identity which is nuts!! We consider brain a singular entity but if we zoom in we can find that there are different parts of brain performing different functions which makes us responsive towards different stimulus recieving from the surrounding.

If you ask me precisely WHERE I AM OR WHO I AM ? it would be in the ORBITOPREFRONTAL CORTEX which is located at the back of our forehead. That is the place where in reality we exists right now. So the world that we see in front of our eyes, is the world that is shown or presented in front of us by our mind. Reality is beyond our reach. There are many more mysteries yet to unravel about the brain and mind. The more we sneak inside the brain, the more we understand ourselves.

The limit of human intellect is unknown ? Its an uncharted region waiting to get enlightened.
