GOD

Lets talk about God. The existence of God. Do we need God in order to have a well being life and a healthy life. Do we need God as an explanation for the very existence of universe. Is there a need for the validation of a supernatural being who is all powerfull and all good according to many religious personalities. Does living your life under the shadow of god is really a good thing to pursue. Do we need God as an explanation for the existence of mankind or the creation of mankind. These questions are asked through out the ages.

Our ancestors had asked these questions and they were very sceptical about these questions and they were desperate to know the answers. But revealing the truth is not a cakewalk. It is difficult to answer the questions that is beyond our capability of comprehension. Whatever knowledge they aquire, they pass on to the coming generation and that's how ideas flourished across history. Our ancestors left nothing for us accept the knowledge and wisdom they aquired by learning and observing their surroundings. Till now we haven't been able to answer any of these question with 100% assurity. All we can do is guessing and make predictions of what might be the probable answers. The likelihood, that we are correct is very less because, we dont have the key to prove these statements objectively correct and that key is EVIDANCE. In scientific world evidance is everything. The whole scientific world revolves around evidance, science doesn’t care wheather you believe something is true or not, untill you dont have the evidance to prove wheather it is true or else it is false. Science is objective and is based on solid foundation of facts, evidences and rigorous experimentations. It doesnt matter how much your theory is good or beautiful, if it doesnt agree with predictions made by experiments it cant be approved. Your theory must resonate with nature and should have pattern. Pattern in the sense it should express some kind of alignment with nature, let me explain it to you with an example, Let us take Newtons laws of motion that can predict the motion of objects moving through space and time. Lets say my car is moving at 20km/hr and I have to predict, how much distance will it cover after 3hrs. So after 3 hrs it will be 60km away from the starting point. So I had predicted the coordinate of the car 3hrs in future. Likewise we can predict the motion of planets and stars. Thats how powerfull Newtons equations are, same goes to all the theories put forth by the great scientific minds. The greatest predicting tool mankind had ever encountered is Mathamatics. Mathamatics is the language of the universe. 1+1=2 is absolutely objectively true, we dont know why but, this kind of small arithmetic tools helped mankind reach moon, probe Mars for future colonisation, probe moons of Jupiter and Saturn for signs of extraterrestrial life, send Voyager 2 to study the outer planets and interstellar space beyond the sun heliosphere and many more extraordinary feats that was earlier thought impossible. So now lets come back to God, now we realised the importance of evidance.

To answer these questions, we first need to know what is God ? My take on this is that god is an imaginary entity just like money but with different psychological structure that exists only in our belief system i.e in our mind. It is an inter subjective phenomena that doesn’t exist in objective reality. Now do I have evidance for its non existence? I dont, but I am certain that its existence in real world or not, will not effect any of our lives. God concept exists because we have intelligence to process the thought of God and engrave it in the real world. God concept exists because we have a peculiar trait but powerful i.e memory specifically pictorial memory. If I try to make more sense of it we created God not the vice versa. Religion is a biproduct of God concept. Every religion have its own form of God and with god comes beliefs. Everything becomes a mess now, since we originated from a common ancestor, how can we have different kind of Gods. Hindu gods, viking gods, greek gods, muslim god, christian god etc, now you have to make a choice which God you want to have your faith in. Most of us will pick the god according to the religion he follows, or more appropriately the religion that society had sticked you with. Lets be sceptic, tell me when you are born did you have any birth mark or any kind of sign that will justify that you belong to this or that religion. No right its a fact. The religion you are pursuing right now just because your parents and the society had sticked you with it. Naturally you belong to no religion and non of their stupid myths and rules can bind you. And there is another thing called Karma. What shit is this!! People say that if I intentionally do bad to someone karma will punish me back for my deeds in future, but how ? Have you ever questioned that. By what mechanism or process it will punish me ? I sincerely dont know the answer because it is such an imaginary concept that has hardly any truth behind. What is the underlying principle of karma ? Say for example I betrayed you and hurt your feelings very badly and you sweared that karma will punish me so , will I definitely suffer in future. The answer is no because this karma thing solely depends upon the person who did the mistake. In this example karma will act upon me or not solely depends upon me. If I feel any kind of regret or feel guilty of my mistake, I will suffer in future because that guilt and regret will effect me psychologically which will create negative vibe and thoughts in our minds that will lead me to a darker path. It is sheer biological and we cannot deny it. But if I dont feel any regret or guilt, no matter how much bad deeds I commit I will not suffer at all.

People say that we need an explanation to this universe and most of them say that god is the ultimate explanation for it. But why do you need a creator on the first place to have an explanation for this universe ? Why do we need a supernatural being with the capability to create a universe ? Let me tell you then universe exists just because we have a mind and we are here to observe it. Without an observer there is no existence of universe. Does the universe exists for an elephant or a dolphin or a chimpanzee ? No, it doesnt because they dont have the required level of intelligence to process this thought. They feel pain but they dont know what pain is or what happiness is. You got it what I want to say, human beings are different because we can give meaning to things that naturally have no meaning at all. For example what is the meaning of life, we all give meaning to life on our own way based on our experiences which inherently have no meaning at all. Now I think just like chimps and dolphins couldn't grasp the idea of universe because of highly rudimentary intelligence, the highest form of intelligence that humans currently possess is not enough to make complete sense of life, universe and more specifically the consciousness. So I think the next evolutionary phase of humans will be more intelligent enough to figure out solution for these complex questions and have better understanding about the very existence of everything. I think consciousness have to evolve to understand itself. So as far as i can see we dont need god at all to explain whats happening around us, sooner or later humans will figure out a way to tackle these questions and open an another dimension of human thought.

The notion of god is embedded so deeply in our society that it will be hard or merely impossible to banish it. I dont know why people blindly trust in god when problem start to arise in their life. Rather than scrutinizing the mistake and then figuring out solution for it they just simply join hands and beg infront of god for help. Why ? Does our parents haven't taught us that dont join hands and beg infront of anyone for help so why do we do it infront of god ? Some say that for spiritual and mental well being they pray to god but why do you need god for spiritual enlightenment and mental health. We can sort out these things by our own if we want to and try our best but we dont do it because we want an easy way out right!! Finding short cuts is not always useful. If you are passing through a bad mental health phase then go to a psychiatrist rather than a typical spiritual guru. But in a typical Indian society people feels ashamed to go to a psychiatrist as they say for some personal reasons which are not at all personal, they are literally nonsensical reasons. People think of person going to a psychiatrist as they are mentally retarded people or mad people that should be send to mental asylum. Literally a pathetic situation across indian society. That mental health doctor had studied hard for 10 to 12 years to gain adequate knowledge to help you out but just because of society stereotype we dont approach it. Let me tell you an incidence that led to the beginning of Modern Atheism. Earthquake in Lisbon Portugal somewhere around 1755, 80000 people died. By the earthquake took place on ALL SAINTS DAY in the morning. Lisbon one of the holiest cities in Europe and most people were at church. Churches were the largest structure of those days and the building highly susceptible to earthquake are the one that are the largest. People died in churches and then tsunami break through and wiped out the city of Lisbon. Now what is your perception about God after reading this. You can comment down below. I saw many debates between athiest vs thiest , god vs nature. And merely all of them are based on christianity since its the most widely flourished religion. Creation according to bible is different than other scriptures, it says that mankind was born because of the sin committed by adam by eating the forbidden fruit and according to bible genealogical records, combined with the Genesis 1, estimated the age of earth and universe is about 6000 years. According to Genesis 1 there is an account for 7 days of creation which I will attach an image below.

But Genesis 2 is based on Adam and Eve, adam was made from the dust on the ground when god breathed life into him. Eve was created out of one of Adams ribs to provide company and help for adam. They lived in a special place called the Garden of Eden. You might also have heard of biblical flood and the Noah's ark, if you get time read about the story of biblical flood and how god had contacted with Noah to build an ark to save humanity and most of species on earth. It is miles away from scientific accuracy but its interesting. I cannot say that bible is full of rubbish since I haven't read it and also because it had guided humanity for ages but according to worlds most famous athiest and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, bible is full of ideas that are completely ridiculous and inappropriate when applied in the day to day life.

Many war and mass killing happened in the name of god, new born kids and infants were slaughtered in the name of god quoting it as sacrifice. Harsh and unbearable punishments were created and given to people for breaking rules laid down in the bible and if somebody goes against the word of god then it will be his/her dooms day. Giordano Bruno was considered heretic because he said that Earth is not the center of the universe, which was believed to be contrary to what is mentioned in the Bible. He was later executed because he held opinions contrary to Catholic church.

The Renaissance period from 14th century to 17th century Europe, was the period of cultural, artistic, philosophy, science, politics, literature and economic rebirth. Italian Astronomer Galileo Galilei fall prey of the same circumstances as Giordano Bruno. The catholic church was very powerful and influential in Galileo's days, strongly supported the theory of geocentric earth or Earth centered universe. After Galileo started publishing his astronomy discoveries and his beliefs in a heliocentric or sun centered universe, he was called to Rome to answer charges brought against him by the Inquisition ( the legal body of the catholic church ). Early in 1616, Galileo was accused of being a heretic. Heresy was a crime for which people was sometimes sentenced to death. Galileo was cleared of charges of Heresy, but was told he should no longer publicly state his belief that earth moved around the sun. Galileo continued his study of astronomy and became more and more convinced that all planets revolved around the sun. In 1632, he published a book that stated, among other things, that the heliocentric theory of Copernicus was correct. Galileo was once again called for Inquisition and this time was found guilty of heresy. Galileo was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1633. And hence one of the greatest scientific minds in human history died of misery and poverty despite of making ground breaking discoveries. And likewise if you try to dig in deep in human history you will find many incidences like this.

Truth is, to have a good, healthy, peaceful life, to be a good human we dont need help of god. We are intelligent enough to differentiate between right and wrong, good and bad deeds. We dont need a millennia old text book to guide us what we should do in life. We can discover on our own. I personally believe in Nature as ultimate judge and thats how I unfold my life. No doubt there are many good ideologies in the religious books but you have to cherry pick it. I personally dont mind following bhagwad gita but you have to cherry pick it and also I dont believe that those are the words of Lord Krishna. Many believe it was written by Vyasa, but no evidance to back it up. Mark my words, the day extraterrestrial life enters our atmosphere, God, religion and all their norms and rules will face dooms day. It will be the last day of God. I will be pleased to see the face of those arrogant spiritual gurus and thiests but I guess I will be long gone before it happens. So thats it for this blog.
